Default Who here has a full understanding of Magnetic Ride?

I just took delivery of a new A3 Quattro with Magnetic Ride suspension. If this is supposed to be "dynamic" in that it adjusts to varying driving situations, why are there two switchable settings? Does it just give you two different starting points (Normal & Sport) for the dynamic adaptation function? Or... Is the dynamic function only active when in "sport" mode?

Default Sport is just a more aggressive setting producing better handling at the compromise of comfort

Both settings are constantly adjusting to driving conditions

Default That's what I figured... Other thoughts and a question

Related question - I understand that the springs applied with the Mag Ride are sport springs but it would appear that the "Normal" damper setting is perhaps softer than what would be found with a conventional (non-Mag Ride) Audi sport suspension. If we were to rank the "stiff" factor of Audi suspensions, would it go like this?

OEM < MagRide Normal < OEM Sport < MagRide Sport

Default It's always on. Great video showing mag ride in action:

This video clearly shows mag ride in action on the Ferrari 599, but it's the same system on the TT.<ul><li><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-w3Nj335Sw&amp;feature=related">Ferrari 599 GTB magnetic suspension</a></li></ul>

Default Re: MR settings - graph

This would seem to indicate that a TT with Mag shock could be adjusted from softer (comfort setting) to firmer (sport setting) compared to a TT without Mag shocks. Is this true; I thought I heard in other threads that even on the comfort setting that the TT Mag shocks were fimer. Is there a difference in the springs?
