Default 17 TTS exhaust

Can anyone tell me about the dynamic mode vs comfort mode exhaust? I was told the in dynamic mode the exhaust note will change. Is this from the Soundaktuator? Or does the exhaust open up more or both? Also, is there a way to turn the Soundaktuator off to get the true exhaust note?

thanks!

For the TTS both. There's a secondary muffler output (dual exhaust; outboard tips) that is valve-actuated on wide open throttle. Also the audio system augmentation.

Some folks have pulled the fuse for the soundakator. Not sure myself which it is as never felt the need.

I have my soundaktor turned completely off in software.

With a tool like VCDS or Obdeleven, there is an adaptation to turn the "volume" of the soundaktor from 0 (off) to 100 (fully on).

How do you like it off?

With the soundaktor completely off, my 2016 TT is silent in S-mode, just like D-mode.

For a while, I was stage 2 + downpipe and that definitely made enough noise to not require the soundaktor. I'm back to stage 1 with the downpipe off because the drone was too much for all the highway driving I do.

As far as I've experienced, they open up at WOT in every mode. If in Dynamic (or Dynamic exhaust sound in Individual) they open under under "high torque" operations (I can notice it a lot under moderate throttle load at low speeds climbing up in parking garages, etc)

I've been in Individual-Dynamic on everything save suspension so long I guess I had forgotten. Yes, the valves open on 'high torque' prior to WOT in dynamic.
