Default 2017/2018 TT Cruise Control turning itself off

Hi all,

I've just got my second MK3 TT a few weeks back. Since pretty much day one, I noticed that my cruise control kept turning itself off at low speeds (~30 mph). I've never had this happen to me before on a car and it's bloody annoying. It didn't happen on my 2015 MK3 TT either.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Thanks

Not once on my TTRS. Only time it turns off is when I tap the brake or use the CC lever.

Just curious - what's the minimum speed for the cruise control?

My first guess was that you were approaching the minimum speed and disabling it, but the manual says the minimum speed is 15 MPH:

Is anything "special" happening when it kicks off? Always below a certain speed? Going up or down a hill? High engine load?

As an aside, I LOVE that this system can apply brakes. Don't have to do it myself when going down a steep hill only to re-enable the system as soon as I'm done...

Wait, it can apply brakes. What? How does that work?

Don't question it, man. Just let it happen . . .

If you start going down a steep hill and you're still speeding up with it giving no throttle, if you get maybe 3-5 MPH over the set speed it'll brake so you don't have to. It's very gentle and well done, only way I could tell is the brake control relays by the driver's feet click on.

The cruise shuts off in my cars only when driving over very rough roads. This happens all the time and when it does I just reactivate it.
