Default 2018 Audi TT RS with XPEL Stealth

I wanted to hear your thoughts and experiences on the wrap for the Audi TT RS with XPEL Ultimate Stealth. I would understand you would need to wrap the whole car to keep the matte color uniformed through out the exterior of the car. My only fear of doing this even though it looks great would be peeling and revealing the underneath original finish. I would think the contrast would stick out like a sore thumb, thoughts?

Thanks

Always wanted to see this color and car wrapped in stealth. I'm on the fence though after seeing it. Looks like they did a very nice job though.

I did the matte wrap on my blue TT and I freaking love it. You will experience some peeling at the edges depending on how much the shop wraps around the corners and underside. I expect that I am going to have to do some repairs over the course of owning the car.

Would be great to see some pics if you have them.

A protective film along with a color change is a great incentive compared to the cost. Been almost a year since you had it done, any regrets or suggestions? I did ready you had it done 1 day after you got the car. Sounds like the best way to go. My situation is I am picking up the car in Washington than driving to California. I would be trusting the Washington folks with the job, but moving to a whole another state. I really wanted the protection prior to the long drive, but I dont want to be in a situation where there may be a defect.

That’s kind of a risk. They ended up rewrapping the back bumper due to some peeling issues. I feel for you - I’m not sure what I’d do in your situation. Perhaps talk to the CA wrap folks for their opinion?

i sent an email to the shop in washington to see what they would say. It may be better to wait until I get to CA.

I had my Daytona Grey TTRS done in Xpel Stealth as well. Film looks amazing on the car.

Unfortunately, compared to the workmanship in that video, the Xpel place that worked on my car did not do a very good job.
