Default 2018 Imported/Sold TTRS's? What are the numbers?

Does anyone have a concrete or confirmed number of cars sold for 2018? It's a pretty rare car but how rare?

According to post #905:

https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...numbers/page23

723 TTRSs produced in 2018. Not explicitly stated, but presumably this count is for the U.S. market.

Default May be a bit high

I saw reports in mid-June quoting around 550 produced for the US at that time and orders were cut off in May.

Seems like 173 TTRSs is too low for the ROW. Or, are you thinking Vincenzo (Audi Social Community Manager) provided inaccurate information?

Whether 723 or 550, still a very high percentage of overall U.S. TT sales.

723 is definitely not the worldwide production figure. Without knowing sources it's hard to guess whose US data are accurate but I expected Mk 3 TTRS imports to be around the 600 figure planned for each Mk 2 MY and as I posted elsewhere the figure for 2012 wound up being slightly over at 641. Yeah, TTRS sales comprised around half the total TTs sold in the US.

If 723 count is 2018 TTRS in US, typical Canada sales is around 1/10th of the US. Which makes it less than 100 TTRS made for Canada in 2018.

I feel special.

there were 1289 TT's sold in the US in 2018. total. 9858 in the entire world. so if you think 723 RS variant were sold in the US alone that's insane and likely wrong. if its not wrong it doesnt bode well for the TT being available for much longer especially with dealers inside and out of the US saying that mk3 is likely the last. you cant blame audi with pathetic sales figures like that. over 3000 TT's were sold 3 years ago and just more than 2000 in 2017. instead of 'guessing' figures I decided to research them after hearing more than one delusional TT fan claim that the car is popular in an audi FB group. I love the car but these numbers are exotic class sales not mainstream. given the fact that sedans are declining in sales to the point that GM and Ford are greatly reducing production then it stands to reason that coupes are going to get chopped next.

I was in the UK last summer (2018), it was amazing how many TTs, of different flavo(u)rs, were zipping around. They know what’s hot.

Btw, I am quite surprised how well the A5 / S5 / RS5 does over the TTs. Maybe the 5’s are more GT-ish... And, I was looking at them before I bought my TTS... But, at this point, i can hardly see me wanting to pick an RS5 over a TTRS.

According to the December issue of Panorama (page 22), Audi TT sales thru the 10 months ended October 31 were 1,244 units (including the base model, the S, and the RS. No figures were available for November and December.

If the monthly pace of 124 units was maintained for the last two months of the year, the total sales for 2018 would be approximately 1,492 units (admittedly, a pretty low number yet it is, after all, a specialty model which wouldn't be expected to sell in large numbers). Personally, I wouldn't call that dismal, but admittedly it is down from previous years' levels.
