2018 TT RS Fixed Rear Spoiler Delete
#11
I've run into this dilemma myself, it's the one thing I can't decide on. I found a few pictures on the net of a blue TTS and TT RS that were as similar in angle as I could find/edit. It's incredibly difficult to find straight on side shots of cars, everyone is into stylish angle shots now it appears, so even these aren't perfect.
I would go fixed spoiler delete if the electronic spoiler could be locked up, but from what I understand even if you manually raise it, if you cross the auto up threshold of 75mph (TX has speed limits of 70+) it will auto lower when you drop below 50mph (auto down threshold).
I've looked coworkers, friends, and so forth and they are split 50/50, as am I. It's the last decision I need to make on sledding out the vehicle, and it's driving me nuts. Hopefully these will help someone else out in the same situation.

Is it just as easy to order a fixed spoiler from the factory? Like if I go to my dealer and tell them I want the RS spoiler can they put it on without the TTS throwing codes?

ormandj, If you would want to leave the electronic spoiler up all the time then you should go with the fixed spoiler. That was easy.
The fixed is actually quite good looking, but I just like the cleaner lines without.
Note: the above TTS photo has 19" wheels whereas the lower TT-RS has 20". I prefer the former both for aesthetics and ride/handling reasons.
