Hi

I’m new to the forum from Toronto Canada and just placed my order for a 2019 TTRS 3 weeks ago.

Most articles talk about the redesigned or reworked fascia for improved cooling of the intercoolers would there be a slight improvement in power and performance?

It would be interesting to see some data - I doubt it though. The single charge intercooler is mounted in the middle which didn't have much of a redesign, while the outer intakes feed auxiliary coolant radiators.

From what I've read it appears they have added new radiator(s). I've not heard about changes to the intercooler but that's possible too. Other than the added complexity, I would think the added cooling would always be a benefit although I don't recall ever hearing about issues with cooling. I've been wondering if maybe they added these to offset any increased heat generated by EU required gas particulate filters which I believe are now required in Europe. Just a flat out guess though.

Interestingly, the U.S. website states the 19 model has 394 HP and I think the 18 was 400 HP. Not sure why that would be. Most folks believe that number to be underrated anyway.

Official press releases just say radiators, which as far as I can tell, all TT RS's up to this point have auxiliary radiators tucked into the corners, so it's not new for 2019. The significance seems to just be placed on the fact the openings are wider.

Did you get an ETA for delivery? I'm also from the GTA and mine was shipped on April 2 but I've been told that delivery might not be until June.

They tell me 3-4 months, I’m expecting a July to early August delivery might be a 2020 model at that point

This is a 2017 TTRS production video but at 1:22 you can clearly see the outboard oil coolers. The 2019 fascia as cited has larger openings to better feed same.

Another GTA person here. Fun101, i can't remember seeing when you placed your order. I just changed my order a couple weeks ago to chage to spoiler delete (meaning get the electric spoiler and not the fixed spoiler). So, i believe my order is now locked, and don't know when it is being built/shipped/etc.

Those are auxiliary engine coolant radiators, the TT RS appears to use a nested plate oil cooler.
