How much 'credit' did your dealer give you to take off those new summer tires?
Yeah, I wanted to avoid that whole thing: seasonal switching and selling tires (or store and never use).

As far as credit for the take-offs: TireRack would have been $1010 including local tax (free delivery and available right away) plus installation at a nearby (good) shop would total about $1150. Costco would have been about $1020 (incl. tax, installation et al) but they wouldn't have the tires for 5-10 days. My Audi dealer is installing them today, all inclusive price (after asking for a bit more reduction) is $940. (BTW, there was a Michelin promo going on at the dealer.) Having done that price research, I didn't actually ask for an itemization (in retrospect, a little unusual for me!) but it appears the credit was about $200. Maybe that doesn't sound like a lot but I do 'get' that they can't be sold as new...and we drive the new car away in temperatures well below freezing with excellent proper tires.
