Default 2019 US TT/ TTS headlights

Hello, before I’m chastised for not searching. I did search, but came up empty.

I am trying to understand what type of headlights are in the 2019 US spec TT/TTS. I know they are full LED, but are they adaptive, do they turn with the steering wheel to illuminate curves? Do they have automatic high beam adjustment?

I currently have a 2017 Porsche Macan, lease ending in December, the 2019/2020 TTS is high on my list. Will most likely have to order due to such limited inventory here in the US with the options/ color combo I’m looking for.

IIRC, they do not have adaptive turning capability for curves, but they do self-level each time you start up the car. No, they do not auto-dim if set on high beam when opposing vehicles approaching.

However, they do have the low-speed turn illumination when the wheel starts to turn or you activate your turn signal for slow turn (think driveway, roadway intersection vs. sweeping curve at speed or lane change).

For these features, I believe you have to get into the 6 or 7, and certainly the 8 has them.

Hope that helps.

I believe the answers to all of your questions is "no". Lots of white, gray, black TTS in the US, almost all with black seats if you do a nationwide search (Audi dealers are apparently Amish or into Goth). If you want something else and/or don't want to travel far for your purchase, you will have to order. Audi sales are down 7% from a year ago and TT sales down 35%+ so you should be able to negotiate. Demand at least a 6% discount.

They have static cornering lights, basically illuminate turns under 25 MPH and come on with turn signals. They're auto leveling but no auto high beam.

Yeah only Europe gets the LED MATRIX lights that you are thinking of that do all those fancy things you are talking about. We have "regular" LED lights that function like your typical HID set up would work.

How are the LED lights? Do they work well and illuminate far enough down the road?

I have a 2018 TTS and I love mine. The normal LED Lights are plenty for normal circumstances - I'm sure there is some geek out here who thinks they are just terrible and must be upgraded for the low cost of $4,500 but I think they rock! The little mirror that takes effect when you put your signal on or turn the wheel (as mentioned, for driveway, etc) is helpful and increases safety but it's not mind blowing.

Yep, LED headlights are a game changer. My wife went from a Caddy ATS to a Benz GLA just for the LED headlights.

I've been impressed with Audi's bi-xenon and now even better LED headlights for many years now.

Yes... the LED lights are great. They are a noticeable upgrade over HID's and cast an even white blanket over everything in front of you.
