My understanding is that the majority of 2016 are effected. The fix was just recently released. I was told by my local Sales Manager that Audi was forced to buy and hold most of the off-lease 2016 TTs because they could not be resold without fixing the recall.

Yep. This Takata recall is long in coming across many brands.

I just didn't want to cite "all 2016's & 2017's" as Audi's verbiage is actually "certain 2016 & 2017's."

Had my 2017 done last week. It was quick and painless... thankfully.
I got to play around in a Q5 while they did it. I was pleasantly surprised by it!
If I ever want an SUV ( I won't) that will be a main contender!

Dealer installed the new bag today...I was there 97 minutes.

are you sure you are not just getting a wall-job...( just parking the car for 90 minutes, then giving it back sans airbag )

Had mine replaced yesterday, took about 90 minutes.

On a side note, I have a Roadster, one of my rear window defrost strips stoped working and had the dealer check it out. The result is I’m getting a new top since the rear window is embedded in the top
