Android auto/carplay added to my 2016 TT
 

Has anyone use theNavMan software to install Android auto/carplay in their TT? I just installed it but when connecting via USB to USBC transfer wire, the Android auto/carplay icon doesn't appear. How to fix this?

It's not clear what you purchased from that company. Was it some update software? There should be an "Audi Smartphone" entry in your main MMI menu. If not, you need to perform some additional work. If you have a VCDS or OBDeleven accessory, that helps.

I have upgraded several cars, including my own 2016 TT, the original way with an ethernet-USB cable.

After installation, I was able to active android auto in my MMI. I connected the wire and my phone says to look at car screen but the program doesn't show. This is what I installed

Did it include a dashboard update to 296? A dashboard update is required to see an icon, I believe. What version did you upgrade the MMI to? 1339 or 1462?

Did you perform an update where you had to place your key fob near the steering column ? That's the 296 dashboard software.

no. The instruction i got did not mention that.
