Smart move by Audi, why give up the profit to the aftermarket. For us consumers, we will get a quality product, the pricing will be premium no doubt.

You get what you pay for and Audi in general makes good stuff.

Another advantage is resale value. Adding non-Audi aftermarket parts to your ride will almost always remove the car's eligibility to be sold and covered under warranty as a certified preowned car.

Guaranteed to ruin my credit rating.Gonna have to think about the fixed wing now, if the aftermarket is a direct bolt-on replacement. Anybody know?

So now that cars are getting delivered, has anyone heard any more on this? Do we need to contact AoA to express interest?

I am very interested in some of these items and just don't want to see them decide not to move forward on them due to "lack of interest".

Have not heard of anyone ordering these parts. Our dealership doesn't know anything about them. Wasn't an option when we bought or picked up the TTRS. Would be interested in some of the parts at a later date.

The Audi press release reads "will be available in dealers in late summer". Folks define summer differently as here in the states it traditionally ends on labor day but astronomically speaking, it ends with the September equinox which this year I believe to be September 22.

Very nice! I just may have to upgrade ... "The specialist supplier of exhaust systems, Akrapovic d.d., has designed a sonorous, ultralight muffler made of titanium including trims specifically for the Audi TTS and the Audi TT RS."

I emailed Eva Stania in Product Communications Audi Sport in Germany about this a few weeks ago. She clarified that the performance parts will be available in Germany in the late summer. With regard to the US, she said:

As for now we cannot confirm any availability for the US. We are still evaluating.
I somewhat skeptically take "We are still evaluating" to mean "we don't intend to but if we get strong demand we won't rule it out."

Regardless, as of right now those parts aren't coming to the US.
