Audi Vehicle Protection Plans - What have you been quoted on TTRS?
Wondering if anyone has gotten quotes for the Audi Vehicle Protection Plans. I know the dealer has a high markup, so curious as to what folks have been quoted.

Which plan are you asking about? The maintenance plans have almost no markup and you won't get a better price from another dealer. You can always wait to buy it at the same price at your first paid service. The only risk is if Audi raises the price between now and then but price changes are infrequent. Tire plans are a rip-off because you can buy them much cheaper from your local tire store. Discount Tire in my area will write a policy on any tire they carry even if you did not buy it there. Rims are covered by your auto insurance, in most instances the deductible does not apply. Buying an extended warranty beyond the factory warranty is a waste of money because you don't even know if you will keep the car beyond the factory warranty and you can always buy an extension just before the factory warranty runs out if you think at that time that the car will not be reliable. Some policies allow you to cash it in if you don't use it but you've lost interest on that money that you did not use so it's not a "free" rebate.

If others are interested, I found countless mention of this company FD-Warranty that sells both the Audi branded warranties, audi care, as well as Fidelity Warranty Services Extended Service Plans. From what I understand, Fidelity was Audi's extended warranty.
I'm looking at the Platinum warranty which goes up to 10/yr 120K miles. Once I get some numbers I'll share back here.

I'm on my third TT in the past 18 years
Thanks for that, but that's not what I was looking for. I've had five Audis over the last 20 years, and in each each, the extended warranty has always paid off in spades.

If I were shopping for a warranty, a key question for me would be if mag ride shocks are covered if your TT is so equipped. Based on the Mk 2 forum, a lot of TT mag ride shocks start to leak around 7 years of age irrespective of mileage and cost about $3K to replace all four at an indy shop. I don't know if the Mk 3 uses the same design/supplier. Mag ride shocks and roadster flap motors seem to be the most common repairs on the Mk 2as they age. No other major issues.

-Audi Pure Protection (Platinum)
-$100 deductible

The cost he quoted me was $4740 for:
-2018 TT RS
-Audi Pure Protection (Platinum)
-$100 deductible
-10 yr/120K
He still sells the Fidelity Platinum, but they only go to 10/100k. That's $2945
The pricing has certainly jumped.
