Beeping after engine stop and unrelated B&O FYI
Anyone else notice a faint beeping sound coming from the engine bay after they shut down the car? Eventually it stops. Just curious what it might be.
Also, an unrelated FYI... I've read about quite a few people complaining about the B&O stereo, and I was happy with it for the most part but did notice that the sound was less great at lower volume levels. Well, I made a setting change today that made a big difference in the lower volume level sound quality. If you go into the sound settings, there's an option for "Input Level." Mine was set at the 12 o'clock position by default. I changed it to the max setting and didn't notice any distortion playing media in Bluetooth or the USB connected mode.
I'm not sure why it is set to half way by default since I know from the sound mixing and audio engineering world that you always want input levels to be set high (as much as is possible without introducing distortion). It's the same with Bluetooth speakers, and I don't know about Android phones since I've never owned one, but Bluetooth speakers always sound better when the iPhone's volume switch is set to the max setting.

Yes, it's quite faint. You have to practically press your ear to the grill in order to hear it. First noticed it when I was wiping off bug guts from one of the headlamps after shutting off the car.

The A/S/RS 3 does the same thing since it's mechanically identical. It's combination of things, N80, N112, N249 valves (or equivalent) all doing a release & full end stop travel calibration

Yes a slight bit, I will see if I can measure it. I do run in "Individual" with everything set to Dynamic except I run Comfort for the suspension. Lower back issues for the past 20 years after going too far past 90 degrees in a Hip Sled. Absolutely stupid.
