So the $1,000 dealership price isn't looking so steep given ~75% of it is parts (and brake fluid not included if needed). But yes, the genuine VAG parts can be had for less.

If it were me, I would buy the parts to avoid any markup from your mechanic.

Besides pads and rotors for the front, what else should I get?

The "wear indicator" itself doesn't really wear, unless it's been indicating for a long time, so I wouldn't bother. It's only a 3-year old vehicle. Just the pads and rotors.

Thanks again Huey, I remembered my Sprinter always needed new Sensors after a brake change.
