So every morning I put my lunch box on my passenger seat. After I drop my kids off at school, I reach across to grab a snack. The car beeps at me as if I'm not wearing my seat belt. I think it's warning me that the lunch box is too light for the air bag sensor? How can I turn off that warning beep? It's super annoying to get yelled at by my car every time I reach for a hand full of almonds.

I drive my TT predominantly solo and get the ‘passenger airbag off’ tone and readout every time shortly after I start up. This with nothing on the seat.

The passenger occupancy sensor on this model is capacitive, not a weight sensor (which is normally a really good thing). Use a plastic lunchbox or just set it on the floor.
