Has anyone repainted their TT or know a rough estimate of the cost? I see plenty of white TT's that look very appealing in price but I want to go with a more gray color. I hear a full body repaint could be around 10k....

probable better to just wrap it to change color .. that way you keep the original paint color underneath and protected.

Well, all of us who mod our vehicles do that to varying degrees.

Wrap and dip are substantially less expensive than painting since no trim need be removed/reinstalled and no intensive pre/post-paint surface prep (just cleaning/clay barring).

A TT is a very low volume sales car. New or used, you will need to search at least 500 miles, if not nationally, to get what you want in a car that is on a dealer lot. I've had to buy all 3 of my TTs long distance to get the color/price I want. An airline ticket to a distant dealer is cheaper than a wrap or paint job. When I search cars.com nationally for new and used Mk 3s, 75% are gray or black because that is what dealers order for cars on their lot. Also, be patient. It will be worth it to wait a few months for your dream car to come to market.

A proper repaint is 10K. Wraps vary but since it's not an overly large car I'd say 3-4K range.
As stated though buy the right color to start. I've seen the same wrap R8s for sale because no one wants the wrap, you have no idea what's underneath until you take it off.
