Dash Buzzing Noise

Yes, the "fart" sound can be a bit "ricer" to some. A little like a huge canister exhaust on a Honda Civic. But when you understand all that's going on to ultimately produce that sound in the TT/TTS it's far more agreeable and grows on you.
I have no dash buzzing, but can see where that too might be irritating.

I have a 2016 tts, 8,500 miles with a very faint rattling sound coming from center dash. On start up it rattles to a point then stops. Rattles on accelarstion up to 35-45mph then goes away at higher speeds. You need to focus to hear noise. It seems it might be coming from turbo? Dealership is telling me the sound is normal and nothing is wrong with car, yet I'm having a hard time believing this since they can't tell me what it is, yet acknowledge the sound? Something is definitely up, just not sure if small or big deal. Hard to tell if we are having same noise but sounds familiar. Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated.

I have had the same issue, only in dynamic sport mode, between 3-4000 rpm. It is intermittent. It usually happens for 1 day then disappears for a month. Hard to pin ponit in the dash where the sound is coming from, but at this point since it is so rare, I chose not to have the dealer tear the dash apart to find the problem. Good luck.

This. Literally can't stand people who get on forums after buying a new car, then want to make it exactly like their old one.

I had a similar buzz/rattle in my 2016 TT for months.
When I discovered it that it only happened in sport mode, I thought the soundaktor might be broken. It took two trips to the dealer to replicate the problem but ultimately it was a faulty soundaktor that needed replacing.
There was another console rattle that had to be fixed, too. Sounded like it was coming from the front speaker area. To fix that rattle, the technician logged 3.5 hours tearing apart the dash, tightening everything and applying felt where required.

I have a buzzing noise (sounds like a fly trapped in a small box) I think its electrical and can only be heard while driving and its coming from inside dash around the driver side. 2014 Q5 if anyone has any idea about this, I would much appreciate to read about it.
Thanks

I unplugged the Soundaktor today and eliminated the buzzing noise. The unit is located just below the right side wiper shaft. Once a rubber seal and four fasteners are removed, the cowl can be pried up just barely enough to jam a hand in there and grab the connector. I used a long screwdriver to push the connector off. If you know how to remove the wiper arms you might prevent a few skinned knuckles. Could just be my imagination, but the car seems just a bit smoother and/or quieter.
Same issue here on a 2019 with just 2K miles. Anyone taken it to a dealer for an official response and fix? Is it a normal sound?
