Default dimples in my door frame. covered under warranty?

I purchased a new 2019 audi TT about 3 weeks ago. While waxing the car, I noticed two ?dimples? in the frame above the door. When I run my finger across them, can definitely feel an indent. The paint isn't chipped or damaged. It's simply as if the metal were creased there. I showed it to the sales guy when I went to pick up rain mats, who was stumped about what those things are. Didn't seem like the detailing guys knew what it was either. Forgot to ask at the time if this is something covered under warranty. Would this be covered covered under warranty? Is it something I should get repaired before it leads to something bigger? It's the 20th anniversary edition coup, for what it's worth.

Regards.

It's only smudgy because I hadn't buffed out the wax yet. Buffed out, they aren't really that visible, but you can definitely feel them.

two dimples where the smudgie wax is

I think mk1 owners would dream to only have door issues. As for your issue, yes. It should be. As long as there is no evidence of being dinged and it looks like the metal has imperfections in it. 1. If the dealership agrees to replace it, it’s going to mean swapping out the door and it will be funded by Audi America. 2. If they are not helpful, research lemon laws in your state. I have done this on an q5. If you are patient and vigilant, they will concede. However, try the nice guy approach first. There may be some arguments between the dealer, Audi, and the shipping company because it wasn’t caught during delivery. However, that’s not your problem.

Default Indents in door frame

It's where the white smudges are. They indents are very small, but are noticeable in person once you know where to look. Almost not sure it's worth going thru the hassle of convincing dealership to deal with under warranty.

I'll take another pic, but it is hard to show off on camera. I only really noticed because the wax sort of pooled in the indents.

I'd also not do it due to issues with match, durability, etc. of a repair or new part painted to match. Not worth it.

My daughter's Mini Countryman had a couple similar 'dimples' upon delivery. I suspected overzealous shipping tie-downs at some point. When pointed out to them the dealership did paintless dent removal and it worked quite well. But then no one but me noticed the dimples in the first place.
