In researching TTs I came across this lease take over (I am not associated with this car in anyway) on a 2018 TT where the lead picture proudly shows the tow hook....



I surmise the car had recently been stuck in snow and towed out. I say that because my daughter had gotten stuck in the mountains and the tow truck driver used the tow hook to extract the car. But didn't give back the cover plate ($80 with correct paint from the BMW dealership).

What are your thoughts?

A tow hook can also signify a track car which is a plus to some (youthful marketing) and a minus to others (those looking for a less stressed TT).

I view a tow hook as a minus. But I am old as dirt and have nothing but white hair.

Or, the owner just fancies giving this car a nose ring. It could be anything but I think (my guess) is its ornamental.

lol... you just showed your age. "The kids" put tow hooks on their car because they think it looked cool... I think it started with replicating the "race car look" since GT type cars have tow hooks.
