Default Help! Help!

Hello All

My Audi TT makes a squealing sound when touching the accelerator lightly or not at all, or when Turing the steering wheel gently.
It doesn’t always happen but sometimes it’s very bad and loud.

Irritatingly took it to a mechanic and the car didn’t make the noise on a test drive.

Whats the likely cause ?

Thanks in advance

If you're having a squeeling noise from turning the wheel, you're posting in the wrong forum.

Best I can tell you is to be ready with your cell phone to record a video so you can show your mechanic.

I believe our cars are drive-by-wire, so I am not sure what would cause that myself. Good luck!

Accelerator pedal is indeed drive by wire. No mechanical connection to engine.
Also the power steering is electric, so no hydraulic pump belt interaction as back in the day.

A squealing sound would therefore more likely be a suspension issue.
