Default I need to ruin my first Audi with a front plate -_-

Hi All! I just purchased my first Audi, 2016 TTS Launch Edition, and joined the flock!

I'm looking for some help/advise regarding the front plate. The car never had a front plate holder but, unfortunately, I need the front plate where I live (Minnesota). I'm wondering if there is an option to place it on the side or not. It would be also great to hear some product suggestions as well.

I'm also interested in getting in touch with Minnesotan's to get some area specific suggestions. PM me if you are up for a chat!

The front bracket does not leave holes if that is what you are concerned about.

My concern about the placing is mainly visual. It would bother me less if it is on the side is what I'm feeling. I need to see some pictures though. I found lots for other models but haven't seen any for TT.

Anyhow, what would be the easiets/cheapest way of getting a front plate holder?

That is one sweet looking car.
I wish mine looked as nice.

I understand your concern regarding the front plate. I know there are some aftermarket solutions.
They don't have a TT solution, but contact them:
US Mill Works - Audi Front License Plate Brackets
Here is a thread on the topic:

After much consideration, I ordered one of these:

I will post pictures at a later time.

Honestly, OEM centered plate is actually less visually distracting than offset to my perception. But to each their own. Either way a sublime Launch Edition TTS!

Of course it can depend on the license plate...

Minnesota is a beautiful place to be ... 'cept in February. Seat heaters at full blast.

Not sure what the penalty is for no front plate in MN.

In CA it's a $25 fix it ticket with no points. I am running sans plate till I have an issue.

I'm with Huey on this. In the absence of the Audi rings on the grill, I find the plate looks fine in the centre. On the topic of rings...where are your rings that are normally on the hood? I really like how the new TT's have the rings on the hood rather than the grill. And I dislike how Mercedes has it on their hood AND a giant one on the grill. That's one too many for me. Again, to each their own.

Front plates are required here in Washington. I haven't run one for years and years. No issues.

I haven't realized that the rings are missing on the hood to this date... Car is getting clear bra and ceramic coating right now so I'm not sure if I can do anything about it anymore. I don't think I care that much about it but I definitely need to understand why they are not there. Thanks for pointing out!
