Low anti-freeze warning with below zero temperatures
The last two mornings in Chicago where the outside temperature was -10° or lower, I got message light to shut off the engine and check the anti-freeze for a low level. Fluid level after checking was normal. Error message when away after driving for about 10 minutes although came back on briefly a few times. Problem goes away completely when the outside temperature rises. Does anybody know what is going on? I have a 2016 TT.

The probe sensor bars inside the bottle are likely gunked up. That, or you have the wrong type of coolant and it's freezing, leading to solid coolant in the bottle which can't short the sensor properly.
