Default MK3 vs MK2 winter rims

Hey guys.....I'm taking delivery on a Model 3 when my TT lease is up in two weeks. I had purchased the 18" winter rim/tire package from my local Audi dealership when I got the car three years ago, it's a MK3.....thinking I would get another TT when my lease was up.....but that story has moved on of course. I have a friend with an MK2 TT, I think it's maybe 2014 or 2015.....he's interested to buy my winter rims.

Question to the experts,....will these rims fit his MK2 design?.....are the offsets close?

thanks ahead!

Yep, in my research TT Mk 2 & 3 OEM are both 18"x9" with a 52mm positive offset. Of course best to loan him a pair and have him test on the front, just to be sure.

So.. when we see Rotor style Mk2 type rims... (Which maybe were a Mk1 TTRS thang...) We say they will fit on a Mk3 (say) TTS? ... or maybe the TTRS Rotors were 19" only...

Audi does a good job of ensuring TT rims will also fit TTS, even tho’ TTS front calipers are larger. Logistically/cost prudent for them to do so, e.g. 18” winter rim/tire sets at dealership. TTRS is a whole nuther kettle of fish however.
