My HomeLink struggles
I posted this on another forum so I hope this isn’t overkill but I’m desperately looking for some help. I have the 2016 TTS and have been spending at least an hour each day trying to setup HomeLink with no success. I’ve tried a variety of instructions which are all different including the Audi source that has directions for specific garage door openers https://www.homelink.com/audi
Has anyone had success connecting HomeLink to a Craftsman garage door opener? Is there some kind of magic to this or are there just some garage door openers that are not compatible?

I got mine to work with a LiftMaster by following a YouTube video. I think the car has to be on when you program and also when you operate the door. That threw me for a loop for a while. My previous cars could be programmed and operated with the engine off.

Yes, I noticed that some YouTube videos show the instructions with the engine on and some show it with just the car on.

I had this same problem on my SQ5. See the data in the thread at:

Pulling the fuse for Side Assist while doing the Homelink setup solved the problem for me.
