I'll wait a little bit before putting the summer wheels back on the TTS. But, turns out this is where I tend to go as soon as I put summer rubber back on. Here the Avant two years ago...

Sorry to post an A4 in the TT forum. :-)

Wilsonville
Glad I'm not the only one in OR.
Have not seen another MK3 since bought mine.
Great looking car!
Congrats!

I am looking at pretty much the same wheel and tire combo for my TTS. A few questions...
1. Do you like the wheels? Balanced properly first time? No centering rings, right?
2. How do you like the DWS tires? I am interested mainly in comfort over harsh streets and tire noise that intrudes into the cabin.
3. What do you think about a 255/19 size tire. It's 26" diameter versus 25.8 for the 245/19. Would that size tire cause any issues?

Sorry for so many questions, I welcome any input!

>> The wheels look great, the dealer set them up perfectly. I would say that the Hartmann's are very good quality, and pretty indistinguishable with OEM. No spacers/rings.

>>I've had DWS's on my A4 for years, and they were great on the TTS. I've only driven the TTS with the DWS, so I can't compare cabin noise. The TTS was a lot noisier than my A4 and Q7... so it's hard to say. The DWS tires have quite a following on AudiWorld.

3. What do you think about a 255/19 size tire. It's 26" diameter versus 25.8 for the 245/19. Would that size tire cause any issues?
>>I am not qualified to answer. I just use what Tirerack tells me to.

(Edit: So, did you go for the Silver TTS???? Well done!!)

Thanks for the feedback! It helps. And FYI, I found an even better TTS...a red one! I will post my purchase adventure soon.

Oh, one more question...when ordering and assembling the new wheels/tires, do I need to anything with tire pressure TPMS? There are no sensors in the Audi wheel, right?

Thanks!
