My weekend driver (1995 Dodge Stealth Twin Turbo) isn't in the same German made league as the other fine examples in most of the previous posts but it is an all-wheel turbo (> 370 HP now) and a 6 speed.
So, it's kind of a combination of the two options that you are asking about...
I would agree that the TT (had a 3.2 Mk1 and now have a TTS) is much more pleasant to drive daily and really is a work of art in both design and function.
The DSG is effortless and a ton of fun, if you want to use the paddles you can be (insert your favorite race drive name here).
But the six speed is the ultimate sense of control and the history of the sports car, so I do like it better for pure driving (AWD style) on a sunny weekend day.
Just my $.02 worth,
John

Thanks all for your input. I’ve decided to stay put with my M2. At my current stage of life, with young kids who occasionally like to come along for a ride, it not being my DD, won’t see winter driving, it just didn’t make sense to make the switch. Not to mention the extra $ I would have to put out to get into a ttrs...
but I will say this...I’ll be watching the ttrs and any new developments and I believe one will definitely be in my garage one day soon.
Enjoy your awesome cars boys (and girls) 👍
