Default Question on Sway Bars

I'm looking to add sway bars when I install my coilovers (Bilstein B14), but was wondering if I should only replace the rear bar, do both front and back or leave the stocks ones in?

For reference, I have a base TT Roadster and will just be doing some ocasional spirited driving and cayon carving on the weekends.

Thanks

Depends on what you are trying to achieve. In the past, I have installed rear only on MKII TTS's that along with little higher pressure on the rears to free up the rear end on the track. This in turn would help rotate better in the turns and better manage the natural under steer tendency of the car.

I have always done them in pairs. But the rear does make the larger improvement

I did rear only. Very noticeable difference in rear handling. I would avoid the 034 Motorsport rear swaybar. Mine was installed by an authorized dealer and fell apart after about 3 months and 1000 miles of street driving. Came apart making a left turn after a stop at a traffic light. The design of their bushings to hold the bar in place is very cheap compared to OEM and that is where the failure occurred. 034 offered to replace it but by that time I had no confidence in its design and they would not give a refund so I had them re-install my OEM.

I used the 25mm Neuspeed for the TTS. It is hollow thus light, has adjustability, cool red color and lasted for nearly (sold the car) 40K miles. Was very happy all around with the Neuspeed.

Default Bushing seperated

The 034 two bushing assemblies that attach to the middle of the frame are a rubber grommet with bulges on each end that are attached to the car with a wide U-clamp. The only thing keeping the grommet from slipping out is the rubber bulge at each end whereas the OEM has metal retainers to keep them in place. Well the 034 U-clamp has sharp edges which sheared off the grommet bulge on one side and the grommet slipped out of the U-clamp holder. The result is very loud metal (sawybar) to metal (U-clamp) pounding on every small bump. I recommend frequent inspections of their grommets to insure they are not sliding out. Mine fell apart so soon under non-stress conditions that I have no confidence in the product. It really is a cheap design.

Did you set it on the second hole at 128% or the forward hole 102%?
