Samsung connectivity question
 

Hi folks,

I'm considering making the leap to an Android phone from a (don't laugh) Microsoft phone. I may get the new Samsung S8. Can anyone with an S7 comment on the connectivity in the TTS? Any hiccups?

Pairing the phone should be straightforward but the main issue is where to mount the fire extinguisher. :p [sorry, couldn't resist]. Enjoy the new phone!

RATS! I'm going to have to relocate the umbrella for the fire extinguisher! :p

This morning I paired my S8+. Before that I had been running an S7 Edge.

Don't see any issues.

I have a couple follow up question for Samsung Galaxy users.

My S8+ has paired however, it no longer reads my text aloud or allows me to send a reply using voice. Yes, there's a command to "read aloud" if I click away on the wheel but no reply aloud function that I've found. Before, it all happened automatically through voice and I didn't have to make any physical button selections. Is this a feature I had because it was a Microsoft phone or is this a Samsung ->Audi setting. I would love to get that back.

Second question - my directory on the VC seems to be missing some contacts that are in the phone. Also the "call list" doesn't seem to be updating itself either. It will list recent phone numbers called/received but not names.

For example used to show:
Bob 416-xxx-xxxx
Home 905-xxx-xxxx
Sue 647-xxx-xxxx

Now:
416-xxx-xxxx
905-xxx-xxxx
647-xxx-xxxx

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
