Switching Grilles

Hey, I was wondering if anyone had any tips on switching out my Mk3 stock grille to a honeycomb grille from a ttrs

This is one of the aftermarket TTRS grilles that forum members have used with little to no modification necessary: https://www.ebay.com/itm/273313107949

Do I have to take the whole front bumper off to install this?

Any swaps I've seen/read about the front bumper cover was removed. Simply easier.

The best way to handle this will cost around $70k, minus trade.

If you have front parking sensors then be warned! The one piece grills don't have the holes for the parking sensors in the right place. I learnt from experience, back to the standard grill for me.

You get used to the parking sensor going off. Not a big deal to me plus I get many more compliments with the honeycomb grille.

If you get these sensors it'll eliminate 95% of the issue.

I am in no way being critical of the OP or anyone else who has already changed out their front grill, but because of the current pandemic and the havoc it's wreaking on our economy and social lives, changing my grill is the furthest thing from my mind. I mean, millions of people are losing their jobs and thousands are dying. That's more important than spending hard earned money on a front grill to my way of thinking. Again, no criticism of the OP or anyone who enjoys modifiying of their cars is intended.
