Telephone directory won’t show in MMI

Telephone directory won’t show in MMI
When I first got my 2018 TTRS, the phone directory showed up in the MMI connected by Bluetooth, contact photos and all. Now I can’t get it to show. I have an iPhone X running OS X 12.1. Is it the OS X that messed it up?
Please don’t suggest I use Apple Carplay. It sucks and I prefer the Audi interface.

delete the phone and repair, it will come back
