Default Tilting the front seats

I have just purchased a used 2014 tt Roadster. There are two little storage compartments behind the front seats (I see also referred to as 'backrests'), but I can't see how to tilt the seats forward to access them. Have looked everywhere! Do they not tilt forward, or do you have to electronically move them forward ~ and then have to get them back exactly where you had them? Thanks.

That said, the Mk 2 seat controls are on the seat base facing the door. The control closest to the backrest controls the backrest angle. just move the top of that control forward or backward.

Default

Logically, it seems that there should be a leaver to tilt the seatback ALL the way forward without having to bother with electronically returning it to the favoured position.

Nope. Lots of manufacturers with power seats do not have a lever override.
