Default Top and windows, perplexing

When I lower the top of my 2017 TT Roadster, the side windows also lower a couple of inches then raise to fully closed when the top is completely lowered. Then I have to manually lower the side windows. If the side windows are already down when I raise the top, they don't move, and I have to manually raise them once the top is raised and locked. I don't get the rationale for that arrangement!
it seems to me-and its been my experience with other convertibles-that when top lowering is activated, the side windows lower all the way, then the top lowers. And when the top is raised, once it's secure, the side windows raise automatically.
Is there any Settings adjustment for the TT Roadster that achieves that? Thanks!

I've never had a roadster or conv., but the functionality that you're describing makes sense to me. If the windows were up when I'm lowering the top, then I would want them to return to that same position once the top is down. Also, if the windows were already down, then they should stay down. Lowering or raising the top should not change the position of the windows.

What happens if the windows are in a middle position? I'm assuming they remain in that position as well.

No factory or setting adjustments are available. But here is a better answer
MODS4CARS - YOUR SPECIALIST IN SmartTOP HIGH-END ELECTRONICS FOR CONVERTIBLE TOP AND REMOTE CONTROLS.
Best mod for roadsters. I can vouch for it.

The Mk 2 roadsters were the same way. Drop the top and the windows go up, raise the top and nothing happens if the windows are down. Makes no sense but I guess it does to Germans who rarely drive convertibles.

Makes sense if you don't want the full wind in the hair experience. But then why have a roadster?

btw: In nice wx I often run with my coupe windows down. Surprisingly little wind buffeting.

It seems antithetical to me to have the windows UP in a roadster when the top is DOWN.

I've had several roadsters and NEVER, NEVER, EVER had the windows up when the top was down! Not even if the temperature was a bit chilly.
