TPMS and Winter Wheels (TTS)
For those of you out there that have a set of winter wheels, did you also install TPMS sensors? If so, what did you use, where from, and how much please?
Tire Rack don't list TPMS sensors available for the '16 TTS

TPMS sensors have gone the way of the Dodo. Since 2010 or so Audi has employed a system that monitors inflation by differential rotation via the ABS system. So no tire-internal sensors to be concerned about.

Thanks Huey52 for the info, I like the 'new' way of doing things too! Sure, i won't know what the pressure is now... urm I mean now... no, now! ha, but it's a price I'm willing to save!!
Shame more automakers aren't going this way.. Land Rover!

related: I just swapped to my Winter 18" Rial DH rims a bit early and remembered to reset the TPMS tire pressure threshold in the MMI post inflation and prior travel. Don't leave home without it.
btw: they have far more front brake caliper clearance than my OEM 19" blade style rims and those calipers are Huge!

Summer Tire vs. Winter Tire Pressures

I'll be switching to winter rims & tires next week. I noticed this in the manual that you need to tell the MMI what the correct tire pressures are supposed to be. This is a whole new thing to remember to do twice a year during summer/winter tire swap-out.
On my 2016 TTS I have 19" summer wheels/tires. The tires are the high performance type (Hankook 245/35ZR19 93Y). The tire pressure chart by the driver's door says 35 psi for the front and 32 psi for the rear. For winter tires, there's no specification, although the owner's manual mentions 32 psi front and 29 psi rear for all-season tires. So I'm figuring it would likely be 32/29 for the winter tires as well.
Whatcha all think?
Thanks,

P.S. I've attached a pic from the owner's manual about resetting the MMI tire pressure data.
**EDIT** It should say above that the driver's door pressures for high perf tires are 38 front & 32 rear (not 35 front & 32 rear). The owner's manual says 35/32 and also says that the driver's door pressures should be used if there's a discrepancy (which there is).

I have Michelin Alpin performance snow tires so just go with the same tire pressure as my OEM summer tread.
btw: given 18" rims and these softer compound tires the ride certainly is more comfortable.
