Hi Fun, this is me combining two hobbies, (cars and photography).
Doing Banff to Jasper in August, that should yield some cool shots.

Great car for a drive in the mountains.
A little smokey unfortunately, from BC wildfires.

I love Banff National Park. Such a beautiful area, and sparsely populated roadways.

New winter wheels arrived.
These are Made in Canada, and attractively priced with no exchange rate.
This design was very popular on the Mk2, I have always liked them.
Initial impressions are that they are good quality, but not OEM Audi good.
The price is much better though

Very nice!! And for Winter you don't really want Audi quality/cost anyway as you'd be more concerned with damage. Well done!

For those of you in New England and similar northern environments, do you find that all-season radials on your AWD car provide sufficient traction for you in mild to moderate snowy conditions?

(Yes, I know that all-season tires are not as effective as winter tires for this purpose.)

I lived in New Hampshire when I had my old A4 quattro. It came with Perelli something All-Seasons and I drove around for 2-3 years not knowing any better. When I moved to the PNW i researched that they were not very good (as AS tires go), and got real snow tires. I now switch back and forth and highly recommend it.

Tho, I remember the NH dealer when I asked if you could put chains on...his reply was something like "This car is quattro, you'll never need chains - it will go through anything...".

On a snowy day, I light the fireplace, pour myself a cup of hot chocolate, and grab the newspaper for a nice relaxing morning!
