OK! It's official! The 2019 TT and TTS are on the Audi USA web site with full specs and build and here are the drivetrain changes:
TT
2018 was 6 speed tranny with 220HP from 4500-6200 and 258 ft-lb from 1600-4400 with 0-60 5.3 sec coupe and 5.6 sec roadster
2019 is 7 speed with 228 HP from 5000-6700 and 258 ft-lb from 1750-4400 with 0-60 0.1 seconds faster than 2018
TTS
2018 was 6 speed tranny with 292 HP from 5400-6200 and 280 ft-lb from 1900-5300 with 0-60 in 4.6 seconds
2019 is 7 speed with 288 HP with rpm and torque unchanged but 0-60 in 4.4 seconds
Someone previously posted that the TTS engine is unchanged, just a different method of measuring specs that was mandated by law. Don't know if that is also true for the TT. Based on early magazine test drives of the 2019 models, I suspect the main difference in 0-60 times is the 7 speed tranny which has tighter gear ratios in the first 6 gears for better acceleration and a taller 7'th gear as compared to the 2018 6'th gear.
My quick look of the exterior of the 2018 vs 2019 is no changes in the TT or TTS with the exception that the TTS has the ugly (IMO) lower pseudo-vent protrusions. Bottom line is the "refresh" is much ado about nothing.

The "TTS" configurator appears to depict mostly the "TT" artist's renditions (presumed from badging or lack thereof). The configurator also lists 6-speed. The webmaster may update.
I don't like those TTS front lower outboard valences either. Too much in the wrong place.
And why would they measure the TTS HP differently (now lower) than the TT (now higher)?

I've been on the fence with regard to ordering a TTS, or holding out a bit longer to see if the 2019 TTRS materializes. This is encouraging.
