TT "R" build
So we have the TT, TTS and TTRS. My project is a conversion of an S and considering RS capabilities will be hard pressed, I have affectionately labeled this my "R" with the goal being somewhere between the 2. Starting with my new (to me) 2016 TTS, I'm focusing initially on cosmetic and personal touches. Will be meeting with my dealers service manager Tuesday to discuss what I can do with regards to performance upgrades without voiding my CPO warranty which is good till 2021. After that, the gloves are off as I tend to develop long term relationships with my toys
Anyway on to the progression. First as purchased then with RS style grill and upgraded 5 spokes that fill the fenders perfectly on 245/35-20 HTR-Z III's. Tires add a bit of sidewall over the stock 30 series. Ride quality is vastly improved and lend to a bit of a lowered look without actually altering OE suspension. Will certainly be running the OE wheels on Pirelli Corsa tires for Track Days though.

Ah, RS badge has been replaced by an R. Thought the post was self-explanatory but apparently not? No intention of posing as an RS. Been building one-off custom cars and bikes for 30+ years but the "neighbor kid" analogy was a good zinger

I paid $40k for a low mile TTS fully optioned, so the $35-40k difference was a non-starter for me. I'm a HUGE fan of buying used and even the rare used RS's are + $25k. Spending 1/2 half of that on upgrades would surpass RS performance #'s but again, that's not my goal.
