My general understanding is, unless you are extremely familiar with their service department and quality of work, you want the dealer to do as little as possible. I've known of folks using their Porsche dealers to do the ceramic coating for them and they were generally pleased with the quality of the work but they still paid more than if a specialist shop had done it for basically the same quality of work. My plan is to find a few trusted independents and have quotes ready and I will most likely use one of them to do the paint protection instead of having the dealer do any additional work.

Just received notification my Audi TT RS has been delivered to the dealership 2.5 months early, sigh.......I will not be able to pick it up until late Aug to early Sept. Fortunately, I chose a great dealership and they stated they would hold it for me in a secluded, climate controlled area with the other exclusive cars. Hate to know it is just waiting for me; so close, but so far.

Great news. With the long assembly waits and port delays that others have experienced at least you know where yours is. And it will be in a better place than the typical on-the-lot cars that are often outside for many months. Thanks again for your service!

Very good point. Originally, I did not like the idea the car was planning to sit at a dealership for the next 2.5 months. Afraid people were going to come by, put their paws all over it, sit in it and drive it. Reassurance from the dealership and those of you on the forum set the fear aside.

The ones pictured on the press release photos? If you know, is there a part number for those or was it more of a "we just got the audi sport performance black emblems"?
