Default TTS Michelin PS 4 Fitment 265/30/20 ?

Has anyone fitted a 265/30/20 tire on the Gen 3, TTS 20" stock wheels. Pic below suggests it should fit given the small changes vs the original 255/30/20.

I would like to use the new Michelin PS 4 tire becoming available in March 2017 and offered in the 265/30/20 size.

Would be great to hear from folks who have actually made the move to this size tire.

Thanks, Ed

So 129 views with no nay sayers !!

I will take that as a "it should work"

I will report back when the time comes to fit some new rubber.

Or more likely no one could comply with the specified "Would be great to hear from folks who have actually made the move to this size tire."

Ha, good call out Huey !

Although, not having had personal experience has never stopped many folks from chiming in before ..

The 2018 RS appears to have the same 255/30/20 set up as an option. I am sure other folks will need new rubber before I am due.

Figured I would bump this post to see if anyone running 20" wheels has replaced rubber and maybe gone up a size to a 265/30/20.

Thanks for any info, Ed

Also curious, have a TT RS on the way and if it comes on Pirelli tires I'm going to want to swap them ASAP. I contacted Michelin about the 255/30R20 size and they said maybe in the future, so I'd be interested in this size vs going with the older PSS.

The only change in could see being an issue for fitment is 0.4" additional width. The extra 0.3" diameter I would think would be fine. Hopefully someone can chime in regarding this.

Another option might be the 255/35R20. Not sure if the 1" diameter change would be an issue but the extra sidewall sure would be nice for the ride! My understanding is Audi tends to read fairly high on the speedometer, so these would be a potential good fit - if they fit.

I would rather run a 255/35/20 to gain some extra sidewall.

Let's hope we get some data on this in the upcoming months.

There should be enough fender clearance as user Bknewtype has lowered his TTS with springs. The extra 1" in diameter would translate to 1/2 " in proximity of fender bottom.

FWIW, I just put Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires on my '13 RS5. Had Pilot 2's before. I like them. Although Tire Rack recommends them for the RS5, Michelin does not. Strange.

Question will be rub at full lock and other such situations. I'm fairly convinced bknewtype is a different species, with lowered springs, exhaust muffler delete, etc. I have no idea how he can ride in his car for more than ten minutes, but it sure looks mean and sounds evil! Maybe he'll chime in and let us know about any rub at full lock/any other issues w/ the drop.
