Are there any differences between the TT trims: base, TTs and RS when fitting aftermarket wheels or do rims fit the same across the trims?

Should be the same other than some ride height differences based on model/options.

On the TT-RS the front brakes are bigger so the TT-RS rims will fit on the others but not necessarily the other way around

I am looking at this set of Niche wheels for my 2018 TT RS.

http://www.nicheroadwheels.com/misano-m116-w-20317.htm

19x8.5 size. Comes in two offsets 34 and 42.

Wanted to know if 42 offset will fit. It's for my winter setup, so I prefer not to push the wheels too far out with 34 offset.

Thanks

I have a skinny tire winter setup too, but only 18x8ET42 with 225/45/18

Nice, the only 18" wheel I've seen that actually work on the RS is the TSW wheel that Lusky is running on his car...I think they're a little wide for a winter setup but I have certainly been considering them for a track setup.

<edit> Luskys build thread can be found here.

I think I would contact them direct and see what they think before ordering, but even so... I ordered Vorstiener wheels in a 19" which they said would fit no problem and they didn't, I sent them back after many back and forth conversations with pictures and in the end they stuck me with the shipping charges even after they told me they had already fitted them to a TTRS so stray away from them. I also bought some Neuspeed wheels which their wheel tech guy said would fit no problems. When they showed up they wouldn't fit either without using a spacer on the fronts which isn't ideal IMHO. So I would suggest you get it in writing that they will actually fit your RS before following through with an order.
