Hi there I have just purchased a 2006 a8 (or it is badged a8 I think it's an a8l)
anyway I have noticed that when the lights are on the outer bulbs (xenon) go for high and low beam but the inner (closest to grill) halogens don't work at all, neither for high, Low, park they just do not go.
I searched through threads on here and couldn't find anything about it.
i am wondering are they meant to be DRLs and just not functioning or are they meant to work with the headlights? I am getting no info on the dash saying there is a problem and no codes are logged when scanned.
any help or information is much appreciated.

I have an '09 A8, there is an option in the MMI menu under car - systems - exterior lighting that allows you to activate and de-activate the daytime running lights.
Not sure if this is the same on an '06, but good luck.
