Resetting a service interval on a trip computer...
...likely would work the same way as most other service intervals. Try:
ECU 17 Instrument Cluster
10 Adaptation
Enter Channel 02
Enter a new value of 0. Then save.
The other Channels in the cluster you can adapt are:
Channel 05 distance until the next Oil Service.
(In 1000's of KM, enter a value and multiply by 1000). The dealer value is 12.
Channel 06 distance until the next In-1 Service. Same in KM as above. Dealer value would be 24.
Channel 07 time until the next In-1, based on time or distance. (In 10's of days). Dealer value would be 36.
Channel 08 time until the next In-2, based strictly on time. Dealer value is 72. (approx.
two years).

i am having the same problem, with my A3 TDI 02 it's so good to know that i am not the only one in the world,i've tried everything to get that service message of but nothing works, i've had a guy with four diffrent types of laptops and gadgets trying to get that message of but nothing works, i've even tried holding the button under the speedo then turning on the the ignition, but nothing seems to work, i'm at a lost..... but now i 've got a new problem my radiator fan dose not switch on when my temp gauge hits 90, i've had the radiator fan switch changed, the thermostat changed, but it still won't come on. i love this car it has been so reliable for so long, can any one help me out there, cause i really want to keep this car for ever
