"402" type mod for the new Q7... can it be done with the software I currently have?
It's probably 3 years old, and uses the Comm port plug on the laptop.
Assume I'd need a new cable to interface with the Q. Has anyone actually done the air suspension mod like so many of us have done on the allroad? Similar procedure?

Procedure should be very similar.
Works pretty much the same on all VW's and Audis that have air suspension.
However, the Q7 requires a direct CAN connection for diagnostics, so your four year old TWIN-COM will not work. You'll need a HEX+CAN interface and the current version of VAG-COM. Upgrades are available at the link below.
