Default "Too many communication errors to continue" - What can I do ?

I installed a bluetooth interface to my RNS-E using a cable from Cufatec. I have tried to connect to the bluetooth box using VAG-COM, but got the message "no response from controller"

I figured the reason was that the K-line was not connected, so i connected pin 15 on the bluetooth box to the K-line on the back of the RNS-E. After this I got the message "Too many communication errors to continue" from VAG-COM. I tried several times to connect but with no luck.

The Bluetooth box part number is 8P0 862 335.

Any ideas to what might be the problem ?

Default What version of VAG-COM?

Try the latest 512.1 please. You can be pretty certain that module is not going to work with anything earlier than ~510.0.

What kind of car is this installed in?
Try Options -> Bypass CAN Init.

Default Re: What version of VAG-COM?

It is the latest version 512.1, and I even updated the firmware in the interface cable.

It is installed in an Audi A2, and I already tried the Bypass CAN init as you suggest.

Isn't it possible to activate some debugging so I can email you some logfiles ?

Please include your full name and a link to this thread. Beware however that as of today, I'm travelling, so don't expect an instant response.

Default "...updated the firmware in the interface cable." Can you explain, please?

Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere before, either here or on the Ross-Tech site. Is there an update available for HEX-USB-CAN?

Thanks.

Default I came with the 512.1 software

As soon as I plugged in my cables it asked if I wanted to update the firmware. I have a HEX+CAN cable, and I don't know if your cable type would be affected by this firmware update.

Ah, thanks. I've downloaded 512.1, but haven't used it yet. I'll check it out.
