01794 - Control Module Incorrect Chassis (VIN) Number
Problem: driving for approx. 10 minutes, the airbag signal lamp will come on. So, I searched the web and found that I have to adapt several control units. I did it successfully with Climatronic and auxilary heater, using "26467" on channel 81. But there are still some control units which cann't be adapted.

Sorry to dig this one up from the dredges...
I've just scanned my friends B6 S4 and this has come up:
It wasn't there a month ago when I scanned the car and has just appeared. I seem to remember seeing this appear before on another A4 just after I scanne it.
Is the scanning causing this to appear?

No, scanning the vehicle is not causing this to appear. This is stored and the scan is simply reading the stored faults. Please post the AutoScan so we can see all of the installed modules.

Just as an update, this problem disappeared on its own. The DTC wouldn't clear, but when I put the car on an autoscan again on Sunday the DTC had just disappeared on its own. Weird.

need help
Having issue with my 3.0 battery box flooded and leaked on my control module under steering wheel. Brake lights, wipers, and headlights wouldn't work so i ordered another control mod installed it. Car started and everything worked as it supposed to but brake lights stayed on. I took the battery off and tried putting new brake light switch on it now the car won't start getting code 01794/01312. Do it need to be reprogrammed to my car? if so how do
I do that??
