1998 A6- intermittent a/c, ABS and tachometer
New to group and I do have a vcds scanner.
Early 1998 A6 The car works great when everything is working. The tachometer stops working and the A/C compressor loses its signal and no longer blows cold.
Also the ABS light comes, I've tried to access the ABS 03 and have had no luck.-
When I open the A/C module I can cycle the clutch and the A/C cycles perfectly. Once I exit the module it drops out the compressor.
When I open engine module- the RPM is normal.
When I look at instruments 17 the tachometer reads 0- when car is running. When car is not running and the instruments module is open- the measuring block goes berserk and the tachometer shows the same behavior-
tried to find the ABS module with little success- cant access it via the vcds. I have back ground w/ R8 LMP and racecar electronics- but this street car is got me scratching my head...
Any suggestions at this point would be quite welcomed!

Found it- was the abs unit was killing everything else.... seems as though the unit has a cold solder joint. Any body have any luck with a repair or rebuild to the circuit board?
