Default A6 2.0 TDI 2006 Blower fix

Advice please! Blower packed in recently. Tested and runs on direct live, replaced resistor, no good. A mechanic tested it and came up with fault Code 02071, main controller has a can bus fault. Option, Audi dealer and £1000 or second hand climate control module. My questions are, has anyone had the same problem and rectified through second hand climate module? If so, where can it be re-coded? I heard Audi don’t want to do this. I really have bought a bad car, I have spent £5000 on repairs over the last 18 months: new engine (oil pump and chain failure); multiple loom wire breaks; new intercooler, ecr valve etc etc. What has happened to Audi reliability and longevity? My old Audi 100; A4 and A6 upto 2002 were great, is it just that year or are they made to fail sooner now? Any help appreciated as I’ve invested too much money to stop it now. Thanks Grahame
