Am I able to change this in the MMI?
 

'09 S5, MMI 2G+ (I think), updated to most recent software.

It's kind of annoying that when I shut the car off, the MMI won't come back up on the screen I left it on, if that screen was one of the "four corners". Two specific examples: If I am listening to the radio / Sirius, I want the presets up. All the time. Like normal radios. So I push the preset button (top left). If I shut the car off and come back out, it starts up on the channel list, and I have to again go and push the preset button. It's not a real pain in the butt, but...why?

Second example, I would prefer to leave the map screen up all the time, even when not navigating. I just think it "looks nicer". Even if I leave it on "NAV", every time I get back in the car it comes back up on the "Destination" menu and I have to push a corner button to bring up the map.

Any way to change this using my VAG-COM?

Not that I'm aware of. There may be an option to change the default screen after MMI boot-up somewhere in the mysterious German-language MMI hidden screen, but I can't be sure. I'd doubt it but hey if there is, I'd like to change the default as well.
