Default Manual Trans? No way.

No electronics, no sensors.

A worn/bad clutch slips under power. A good clutch doesn't.

Default Can't you just monitor RPMs in a given gear? Say 4th gear at a constant speed...

you would see spikes periodically when the clutch slips.

Default Editioral comment:

If you can't tell by the seat of your pants when your clutch is slipping, you probably shoudn't be driving a manual trans..:-)

Wouldn't the tachometer serve the purpose?
