Anyone ever use their VAG to bleed the brakes using the ABS pump on a B6?

Anyone ever use their VAG to bleed the brakes using the ABS pump on a B6?
I've heard the lines need to be vaccum bled or something other than just normal bleeding. I was wondering if the ABS pump would work?
